The standard test method for kinematic viscosity of transparent and opaque liquids (and calculation of dynamic viscosity) ASTM D445 specifies a procedure for the determination of kinematic viscosity v of liquid petroleum products, both transparent and opaque by measuring the time for a volume of liquid to flow under gravity through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer. The dynamic viscosity v by the density p of the liquid.
The standard ASTM D446 specifications and operating instructions for glass capillary kinematic viscometers of all the types described in detail in Annex A1, Annex A2 and Annex A3 as follow:
Modified Ostwald viscometers Annex A1,
Suspended-level viscometers Annex A2,
Reverse-flow viscometers A3.
MVB-50 is to measure transparent and opaque liquids. Housed with built-in long lasting LED backlight, tempered glass window on the external surfaces (removable for easy housekeeping); MVB-50 also comes with over temperature and low fluid level protection. The easy manual and auto-tuning at different bath temperature set points makes MVB-50 one of the most efficient vicometer bath in the market today.
State-of-art viscometer bath MVB-50 also equipped with a stainless steel cooling coil to paie with external circulator if desired temperature goes below ambient temperature to ensure 101% efficiency.
